Pests such as cockroaches, rodents and mosquitoes can carry diseases and bacteria which can cause human health concerns and contaminate food. Other pests cause damages to your home, often unobserved until substantial damage has already been done. Termites are responsible for many billions of dollars in damage costs to homeowners every year, and Central Florida is an epicenter of termite activity. Our weather allows for most pests to be active year-round, without the interruption and slow-down of overwintering. You can see the New Smyrna Beach area is not only attractive for people like us, it is also the perfect environment for pests!
We take care of it all, from routine preventative pest management to tent fumigation. We manage pest activity and reduce the risks to your health, property, and food.
We have been providing pest control services to the New Smyrna Beach area for over 40 years and we sincerely thank you for the opportunity to provide this service for you.
Facts about New Smyrna Beach area pests:
Drywood Termites are most prevalent in New Smyrna Beach in the following areas:
- Within one mile west of North Dixie Freeway and Riverside Drive.
- Beachside in general, most notably along and near Peninsula Avenue or South Atlantic Avenue.
Options for Drywood Termite control are tent fumigation for complete control, and local tentless treatment for minor infestations.
Native subterranean termites (reticulitermes spp.) are endemic to not only the New Smyrna Beach area, but also the entire Central Florida region. All structures are at risk of subterranean termite infestation. Invasive Formosan Termites (Coptotermes formosanus) seem to be becoming most established to the east and west of the SR-44 area. We receive a majority of swarm reports from this area.
Common structural household pests in our area include peridomestic cockroaches, ants, spiders and silverfish. Our pest control programs mitigate and prevent this activity.
